In the midst of this bleak midwinter this sweet book is like a breath of fresh air. The story told in rhyme is about a little boy and his mother (and little sister) discovering all the wonderful things that God has made.

The journey through the springtime countryside will help reinforce that God created everything and all that He made is good. As the momma and her children take their walk the young son continually asks who made this and who made that. The momma gently points out that God made it.

The story along with the beautiful soft pastel pictures make this the perfect book to tuck into an Easter basket. It is also suited for any other occasion as well as just adding it to your personal library. The story isn't specifically about Easter but rather spring and the renewal all around. The end of the story also includes snow and stars in the creation and it ends with saying that the very best thing that God made is YOU!

I think you will delight in reading it over and over again to your little ones. I know that I certainly did! (Posted on 3/15/2015)

I love Easter! It is my favorite holiday. The price that was paid for me is a gift I can never repay, but I plan on living for Him and that my friend is all He asks of us. The love that our Father has for his creation is beyond comprehension. I love the sentiment of this book, Only God Can Make a Kitten. This book is just the sweetest.

In brilliant rhyming prose this sweet book sings songs us through the brilliant dance of the love our Father expressed for us when He made all living things in creation for us to love and enjoy. The little boy in the story is taken through a precious rhyme with his mother as she explains the world around him and in the end he finds out what God delights in the most.

This is the perfect Easter gift for any child you know between the ages of 4 and 8. A short read at only 32 pages. It gets the point across quickly and has beautiful illustrations proven to engage the reader.

**Disclosure**This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review for my participation on the Z Blog Squad.

If you are searching for a fun rhyming book then this is one that is sure to please all ages. The author writes in a whimiscal way that is fun for all audiences.

I really like it because the story walks through an adventure that a child and mother walk through. It reminds me of my walks and adventures with my own children.

My daughter love, love, loves kittens! She has been asking for one since she learned the word I think! Since that's not going to happen anytime soon, I thought this book Only God Can Make a Kitten might appease her a bit!

As expected, she was excited as soon as she saw the cover and literally gasped! We had to sit down to read it right away.

The book is written in rhymes so it's very lyrical. It goes through all of the things that God can make which is the perfect theme as we get close to Spring. The kitten is one of the things that God can make. My daughter was a little disappointed to find that the book wasn't ALL about the kitten but was just one of the many things listed that God made. However, she still enjoyed the book and asked to hear it over and over.

I really like reading books that rhyme as a parent. It makes it easier to get into it and fluctuate my voice along with the patterns. It also makes memorization easier for the little ones and I noticed Paige starting to chime in on the phrases as I read them, especially relating to the kitten!

Only God Can Make a Kitten isn't JUST about kittens but children will love this whimsical book about our great creator. (Posted on 3/5/2015)

Only God Can Make A Kitten is a new book written by Rhonda Gowler Greene and illustrated by Laura J. Bryant. (I have reviewed other books by Rhonda Gowler Greene in the past, and this one is by far my favorite of hers that I have read.)

The story is written in rhyme and follows a mother and her children as they discover a variety of things that remind them that God is the creator. (This is not a story about kittens, but is more generally about what "only God can make".)

The illustrations are nicely done and in a soft color palette - a good accompaniment to the story. (I personally prefer the interior illustrations over the cover image.)

I love the concept of this story and think this is a fantastic reminder for all of us to look around at all the amazing things that God has created. I look forward to reading Only God Can Make A Kitten with my children many more times.
