Baa! Oink! Moo! God Made The Animals is a board book by Rhonda Gowler Greene, illustrated by David Walker.

Baa! Oink! Moo! follows a mother and her child as they come upon a variety of farm animals. The story is written in rhyme, and includes animal sounds (some in the story text, some just on the page).

Baa! Oink! Moo! is a great companion to Only God Can Make a Kitten (by the same author). Where Only God Can Make a Kitten mainly addresses items in nature that God has made (seed, rain, ocean, stone, tree, etc.), Baa! Oink! Moo! is about various animals that God has created. The animals in Baa! Oink! Moo! are a variety of animals you might find on a farm (sheep, dove, pig, cow, chick, puppy, horse, hens, ducks, goat, bunny).

The illustrations in Baa! Oink! Moo! are cuddly and adorable - definitely a great feature of this book.

I love books that remind us to look around at all the amazing things that God has created, and this is definitely a cute one.

Little kids and farm animals just go together. What child doesn't love to make their noises? In Baa! Oink! Moo! God Made the Animals Rhonda Gowler Greene captures the curiosity and unending questions of little ones. If you're a momma of a little you know all about the cycle of question after question.

With the sing-songy verses the momma gently responds to all of her little boy's queries. As they move from animal to animal the son continually says "Mama, look!" and then responds with a question about who made the animals and their particular characteristic. I really like how the momma responds that only God can make these animals and give them their particular makeup.

I am pretty sure that once you read this aloud to your little one they will begin to respond in all the right places with the animal sounds. The book itself is a padded board book that is very sturdy for the multiple readings that you are surely going to be doing. When the words have a rhyming flare it is actually fun to read it again and again. I think you'll also enjoy the illustrations by David Walker. His use of disproportionate features makes for a whimsical visual that goes really well with the verses.

This book would be a great addition to any child's library. It would also make a wonderful baby shower gift for that expecting momma.

I love reviewing children's books. Seeing all the new books out there by all these talented authors is fantastic. But, I really enjoy the stories and it gives me a way of holding on to my children's childhood just a tiny bit longer. This sweet little board book discusses the animals that God made just for our use and enjoyment.

Throughout the book, the little boy or lead character speaks to his Mama about all the fun and sweet baby animals he has discovered. He reminds us that God has made each and every one of them. It is a precious book full of wonder and excitement that any child would adore. This would make a great story to read at bedtime. Geared for ages 4-8.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author. All opinions are my own. (Posted on 1/12/2017)

If you have a toddler or preschool then this is a book to add to your library. The rhymes are entertaining and catchy... especially if my 5 and 9 year old still enjoyed it I imagine the younger ones will love it even more.

Obvious each page has animal noises so this book could be a hoot in a small group. I personally like that every page reminds us that God is our creator! This book would be a great addition to any series for creation! (Posted on 1/11/2017)
