This Bible is a great first full length Bible for my 7 year old son. It is the NIrV version which has simplified the NIV for beginning readers. For now the feature pages with images of Lego characters draws him in. They teach him about a Bible story and what we can learn from it. They even include a "Building Brick Verse" that they can memorize. Each feature page also directs him back to the verse in the scripture.

The Bible has a nice hard cover and seems to be well made.

I too wish there were a few more feature pages, but maybe that is because I have grown accustomed to the typical children's Bible as my children are still all quite young. I do feel like the feature pages will draw my son into the word and that of course is the goal. (Posted on 2/18/2016)

When I saw the Faith Builders Bible I had to take a look at it. As a huge Lego fan, this looked like something I would have liked. My nephews are also huge Lego fans, so I had them in mind when I got this Bible as well.

While I don't think the cover exactly does much for me due to the darker colors, I think the concept of this Bible is really cool! I like the different building block creations on the cover.

I know many different people have their opinions about Bible translations, so I'm not going to base this review on the translation. This Bible uses the New International Reader's Version.

I think this Bible has some really cool features that make it unique. There are pages mixed in that highlight different Bible stories and lessons. On these pages there are Lego creations and I think this is a neat aspect to this Bible. Some of these sections ask the kids questions or to build something.

I like the engagement in this Bible and how it takes the Bible story or point and uses a toy many kids love to help them learn more. I also love the exercise at the beginning of the Bible to help kids learn the books of the Bible. I like the different Lego creations in the Bible and I think kids could try to recreate the scenes and then explain what they made and the story or point that goes with it.

I found this Bible to have many unique features that I think many kids will be able to connect with. I really like the use of Legos and the engagement aspect of this Bible. I would have liked to see more engagement ideas, but I think this one was consistent with the amount other Bibles would have.

Faith Builders Bible by Zondervan is adorably cute! I absolutely love the little brick-building creations throughout the Bible. It certainly adds a little fun to reading your Bible. My kids love reading their Faith Builders Bible and I've even caught them playing with their Legos to recreate some of the scenes in this Bible. I also love that it contains large print making it very easy for kids to read. Another wonderful thing is the Building Block Verse. The Building Block Verse is a memory verse relating to that scene that's been created with Legos. If you have a kiddo that loves Legos or know someone who does then this is the Bible for them. This would be an absolutely terrific gift to give this holiday season! Disclosure: I received product(s) for free, in exchange for my honest review. I only recommend products I've used personally, and believe will be good fit for consumers. (Posted on 12/10/2015)

As a mom of two boys that both love building, this Bible is perfect!

My boys have several Bibles, but this one is hands-down their favorite and I can see why. It has a brick look that encourages kids to pick it up, and it also offers several Bible stories throughout that have these awesome colorful brick pictures such as Noah, Solomon, the Ten Commandments and so much more! It also includes Brick Building Bible Verses and Dictionary to the new International Reader's Version.

The pictures in the Bible are mainly found in the Bible Stories, which is fine with my boys. The pages offer a very clean look and they aren't extremely thin which is a good thing. I always worry about pages getting torn easily when they are too thin, but I don't see that happening in the Faith Builders Bible.

I for one am a huge fan of the NIRV version for kids. I just feel it's so much easier for them to understand and since we started using this version along with my KJV for Bible studies, I have noticed it keeps him more focused because he is understanding the words more.

The only negative I can think of when it comes to this Bible is that I wish the font was just a tad bigger. It's perfect for my boys, but I'll admit that I prefer a bigger font. (Posted on 12/10/2015)

The Faith Builders Bible is sure to be a hit with any LEGO/brick/building block loving child. (Disclaimer: This Bible has no specific affiliation with LEGO or any other building block company, to my knowledge.) My sons (ages 6 & 9) were trying to claim it as their own as soon as it entered our house.

The Faith Builders Bible is the New International Reader's Version (NIrV) version of the Bible. The NIrV is a simplified version of the NIV, written at approximately a 3rd grade reading level. The NIrV is composed of smaller, easy-to-understand words in shorter sentences than the traditional NIV.

The Faith Builders Bible has all black text (including headings and the words of Christ), laid out in two columns. The text is standard size - not large, but not extra small. There are no study notes or footnotes in the Faith Builders Bible, just strictly Bible text. Within the text, quotes from other places in the Bible are cited directly (in parenthesis) after the quote. (Example: John 3:3 has a quote from Isaiah 40:3.) There are no maps like you might find in many Bibles.

At the back of the Faith Builders Bible are two study helps: a 5-page dictionary (words & definitions, but no verse references) and lists compiling 92 "Great Bible Stories" (with verse references). The "Great Bible Stories" lists would be great to use for monthly reading plans.

The "flair" of the Faith Builders Bible comes in with the full-color pages that are placed throughout the Bible. (The pages are a bit thicker than the text pages.) At the beginning of the Faith Builders Bible is an insert containing the presentation page, a two-page "Building With Books of the Bible" spread, and a "Can You Build..." page.

The "Building With Books of the Bible" spread shows all of the books of the Bible, grouped by category (Law, History, Poetry, Gospels, Letters, etc.). I loved the idea that is shared on this page - to write the name of each of the books of the Bible on a brick and then stack them in the correct order. There is also a "Building Block Verse" found on this page (which are also found on every insert page, including the presentation page).

The "Can You Build..." page has three verses and simple building projects (no instructions included), along with another "Building Block Verse".

Each insert throughout the text in the Faith Builders Bible is a full-color (front and back) page. Each of these has a brick depiction (brickpiction?) of the topic, a little portion to read about the topic, and a "Building Block Verse". Here are the topics covered in the inserts:
- Noah Builds an Ark
- Animals 2x2
- Building the Tower of Babel
- The Ten Commandments
- Building the Tabernacle
- Solomon Builds God's Temple
- Bringing Down Jericho
- Samson's Demolition
- David Defeats Goliath
- Psalm 23: A Psalm of David
- Jesus is Born
- Feeding a Crowd
- A Change of Heart (Zacchaeus)
- Jesus Walks on Water
- The Last Supper
- Jesus and the Cross
- The Lord's Prayer
- The ABCs of Salvation
- The Fruit of the Spirit
- Building with a Strong Foundation

I liked that the topics covered on the full-color inserts in the Faith Builders Bible aren't necessarily what would typically be pointed out in a children's Bible (stories like Adam & Eve, Jonah, etc.) - it gave a unique perspective for this Bible. I also liked that in the topic discussion it often (but not always) prompts the child to try to build a scene with their bricks. With all the things kids can build with their LEGO collections, a Bible scene is certainly a great suggestion.

The Faith Builders Bible has the basics you need, with the extras that will draw in a variety of children. I think any brick-loving child would love to have this Bible.

Well if your children are into brick building pieces than this is the Bible for them. It includes everything other Bibles include with a few extras to brighten their day. My boys loved the full color photographs of the different scenes with the bricks forming the pictures that go along with the select Bible stories. Very talented artists, indeed.

The Faith Builders Bible is the complete Holy Bible, from Genesis to Revelation in the New International Readers Version. This is a hard cover Bible Each full color photograph has a Bible verse and a short description. And it comes complete with a short dictionary in the back as well as a short list of great Bible stories. Great gift idea for the young children in your lives that are fascinated with brick building.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author. (Posted on 11/14/2015)

I was a little disappointed in this one. I expected there to be many more features but really the only features are the full page images of scenes made from bricks with a bit of an explanation/story to it. There aren’t any devotionals or study notes. It’s just a simple Bible. However, I like that it is in the NIrV and the images are really cool. Maybe it will give your brick builder some Godly inspiration. (Posted on 11/6/2015)

Like most kids at their age, my six and seven year olds both love Legos! It's the gift they are always the most excited to get and mom and dad are the least excited to see! Thankfully the Faith Buidlers Bible is something we could all get on board with!

This Bible is designed with the Lego lover in mind and I really like all the references to the beloved bricks. Even the title Faith BUILDERS is a cute reference. The cover depicts many of the characters from popular Bible stories as Lego's and that continues on the inside. I know that this will probably get mixed reviews because the very serious minded feel that this is disrespectful. I can see how some would feel that way but I'm more of the belief that as long as it stays true to the Bible and is a way to get kids to open it, I'm all for it.

Inside the Lego fun continues with Building Books of the Bible where it shows them organized and stacked as Legos with the books of the Bible on them. I thought this was a particularly cute feature. Then there is a Can you Build section with great tools for the young ones to study the Bible.

The rest of the Lego pictures can be found scattered throughout the Bible on their own separate pages where it has a picture of a popular story, a breakdown of the story and then a Building Black Verse. I really like these because they serve as great memory verses and I think the Lego pictures will help kids remember and drive the point home. There aren't as many of these as I'd like to see but they help drive the point home.

I think it's important to remember that different things make people open a book and the Bible is no exception. If Lego's are what makes a little boy or girl decide to give the Bible a read, I fully support the Faith Builders Bible! (Posted on 11/4/2015)

I was extremely excited for this Bible to arrive. If you read about my daughters 8th birthday party last month then you know all about the Lego Party. This month we had our trunk or treat at church so I kept the Lego theme going and was so thrilled to showcase the "Faith Builders Bible" in my trunk design. It was front and center in the trunk as you can see in the picture on the right.

I know kids have many different interests and creating a Bible that is already aligned with their interests is such an awesome thing! This Bible is NIRV and includes several pictures that use Lego's to create the image... it's so cool! I loved looking at all the pictures and one of my favorites was the "Jesus walks on water" page.
