At the beginning it did have Proverbs 12:10- The righteous care for the needs of their animals.
An appropriate scripture to start us out with. The book introduces that the church will be doing "A Blessing of the animals" which I thought was a fun idea. Then my mind start to question it... like how crazy would church be if everyone brought their pets?! I know my dog would be barking and trying to get every other animal to run with her so I could imagine the chaos.
I started to laugh as my thoughts became part of the story. A cat scratched the pastors dog after the dog growled a little bit at it which caused all the animals to go crazy. The pastor got all the animals under control and the story ended being a fun one with laughter and reminding us that God blessed us with animals for joy!
Overall, this book is a fun one to read to kids. It makes you laugh and think about how enjoyable our pets are. It also makes you think about how creative our God is as creating all the different types of animals! (Posted on 3/6/2017)
