We actually read the whole thing in one sitting, cover to cover, which you probably couldn't do with a toddler. They were all the familiar Bible stories, just told on a younger level. The thick, padded cover and cardboard pages are conducive to toddlers handling and turning the pages.
The illustrations are perfect for toddlers and the swirly font makes it fun and girly. It's just eight stories that kids will be the most familiar with. I did notice that Queen Esther was a little bit of a detour from the usually selected stories in a short Bible. I assume this is because it's a Bible for girls and Esther is a role model for little girls to look up to. I like that it included her story. It also tells the story of Moses as a baby and how he was rescued by the princess. Princesses and Queens are the stuff fairy tales are made of so it'll definitely appeal to little girls. I know it did mine!
The Sweetest Story Bible for Toddlers really is sweet, from the font to the illustrations and stories that are chosen. This will make a perfect little stocking stuffer for the toddler girls in your life this year! (Posted on 12/9/14)

The author managed to tell each story with only minimal sentences and the illustrations are very suitable for the precious young lady in our lives. She will love carrying this Bible to church with her or to grandma's or even across the room into your lap so that you can read it to her. The wording is simple to understand and it is written for ages 4-8 years of age. My favorite part of this book was all the pink, it brought back memories of my daughter being that young age of four. she was so proud to have her very own Bible. Perfect for gift giving!
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review through my participation on the Z Blog Squad. (Posted on 12/2/14)

The Sweetest Story Bible for Toddlers is written by Diane Stortz and illustrated by Sheila Bailey. The illustrations are big and colorful - they take up the majority of each page, leaving room for just a few lines of text on each page. Because the stories are short, there is not a lot of "fluff" in with the basic facts as you might find in many Bible storybooks.
The Sweetest Story Bible for Toddlers contains 8 Bible stories:
Old Testament stories:
- "A Perfect World" (creation)
- "Safe in a Big Boat" (Noah's ark)
- "Saving Baby Moses" (baby Moses)
- "Brave Queen Esther" (Esther)
New Testament stories:
- "Born in a Stable" (Jesus' birth)
- "Let the Children Come" (Jesus & children)
- "The Saddest Day" (crucifixion)
- "Alive Again!" (resurrection)
Although the exterior of The Sweetest Story Bible for Toddlers is obviously aimed at girls, the inside does not feel "girly". (I actually wish the cover had been more neutral - this would be a great book for both boys and girls.) Perhaps the most "girly" story in The Sweetest Story Bible for Toddlers is "Brave Queen Esther", but the story of Esther is not just for girls.
I think The Sweetest Story Bible for Toddlers is a great addition to your toddler's bookshelf.

My older daughter already had The Sweetest Story Book Bible and loved it so I thought this toddler one would be a great addition to our preschool classroom at church. The toddler version is of course much shorter stories which are appropriate for the age level.
The pictures are very bold and bright. My kids enjoy the stories and the pictures as well as the preschoolers at church! Even if it is very girly most of the boys don't seem to mind or even notice. (Posted on 12/1/14)
