“Mom, can I have just one more story?” What’s a mom to do? I find it hard to say no to that little creature snuggling next to me, trying so desperately hard to avoid going to sleep. Just so I don’t have to say “no” I have squirreled away some books with short stories or poems to read for those “just one more story” nights.

“Little Bunny’s Bible” is a plush covered board book, with eight poems inside, the perfect length for those nights where you may be running a bit short on time.

“Little Bunny’s Bible” is a great way to introduce your child to God’s word. The author covers key Bible stories, four from the old testament and four from the new testament and shares where each story is located in the Bible. Often times we will grab my son’s Bible and read the scripture and follow it with the poem from “Little Bunny’s Bible”.

I love how the author chooses well known Bible stories and tells them in a way that little ones can understand. In the “Lost Lamb” my son understood that the shepherd was looking for his sheep. Then after we turned off the lights we talked about how God loves us and we are just as precious to him as that little lamb was to the shepherd.

Each poem is accompanied by adorable artwork that captured my son’s attention as much as the poems. This past Sunday was “Easter Sunday” and I often have to monitor the images that my daughter sees, because images of Jesus on the cross really disturb her, and at 5 if she knows Christ died for our sins, that is enough for me. The image choice the illustrator chose to represent the story of Christ’s death and resurrection was perfect. It wasn’t the traditional Christ on the cross, but instead focused on the joy of his resurrection.

“Little Bunny’s Bible” is a welcome addition to our book library.

There is nothing better than knowing that you have an amazing Savior that deeply adores you. I try to teach this to me children at a very early age. If you were to quiz my four year old right now, he would tell you that God loves him and that God sent His son, Jesus to save him. Joshua knows that God and Jesus love him very much and only want the best for him. There is no greater feeling as a parent then to know that I'm bringing up my children knowing God. I am blessed to be able to live in a country that supports that decision.

Every Easter I give my children an Easter gift, and this little goody would make a perfect one for any child in your life that is between the ages of 2-5. It is a medium sized board book covered in fabric with a precious bunny staring back at you. With all the softness and precious face of that bunny, you can give a child a most precious gift. A most precious gift that contains the word of our Father, written in words that he or she can understand, along with Scripture references and beautiful illustrations. A bunny to hug, a Bible to love.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the Z Blog Squad.

What a wonderful idea to cover a Child’s first Bible with an irresistibly soft cuddly bunny. This Bible can be used for either a boy or a girl.

The inside is board-book style, making it easy for little hands to turn the pages and easy to wipe off sticky residue from those little fingers. The stories are Biblically correct, yet in simple easy-to-understand language. They are short in length but not in content thus insuring it will hold your child’s attention. The illustrations are adorable and perfectly suited to each story. More importantly it is a perfect way to introduce your little one, at an early age, to the wonderful stories in the Bible.

This would also be a great gift to give for a new baby.

Disclosure: I was given a copy of this Book by the publisher, ZonderKidz, Z Blog Squad for an honest review. I was not required to write a favorable review nor was I compensated for my review. The opinions in this review are my own.

I got this very cute book to write a review on it here. This book is very soft, fuzzy, sturdy, and lightweight. It is perfect for children 5 and under, and safe enough to leave in a crib with a young baby at nap-time or night. All pages are thick and sturdy with round edges. The stories are short and written in poems so they will not exceed the attention span of a little toddler. I think the rhyming in the story will help the child to remember and memorize each story with ease. This is more of a story book than it is a Bible, as it does not have whole Bible books in it. This book contains the following stories: Creation, Daniel in the Lions' Den, Jonah, The Birth of Jesus, Jesus Feeds 5,000, and The Resurrection. I highly recommend giving this book to any small child. It's cuddly, has beautiful illustrations, introduces the Love and Glory of the King of Kings, and I believe it will establish a love for God's Word in any small child. (Posted on 1/24/2015)
