Holidays and family times are so much more fun with little nieces. With Easter just around the corner, it’s time for another Auntie package to send to my girls! I’m sure you won’t be surprised, but every gift I give my nieces includes books. Plus my sister tells me how much they love reading them, so who am I to deny right? Anyway, I recently came across these new gems from Zonderkidz just in time for Easter! Both are toddler/pre-school age and both are fabulous.

Little Chick’s Bible (by PJ Lyons and illustrated by Melanie Mitchell) is also a fabulous introduction to popular bible studies for kiddies to enjoy with rhyming lines, colorful illustrations and another soft and cute cover they’ll love to keep with them. This is a great resource for little ones, to start teaching the stories from the Bible.

What are some of your favorite Easter gifts to give?

(Thank you to Zonderkidz for a copies of each book in exchange for my honest review)

My 7 and 3 year old love the fuzzy soft book... they even said it could be a stuffed animal because it's so soft! I did go double check their beds and was hoping to see if they were cuddling with their Bible but nope they weren't... that would have been an awesome picture.

Over all there are 9 key stories in the Bible. I love the rhymes on each page as well as the pictures. We actually read all the stories for bedtime rather than one per night.

Once my kids get a little older this Bible will be a fantastic addition to our preschool room at church.

This book was released in January 2015 and would make a great gift in an Easter basket! (Posted on 2/21/15)

I got the Little Chick's Bible to write a review on it here. I got this because I liked the Bunny Bible so much, and know two little kids at church that should enjoy them. This book is very soft, fuzzy, sturdy, and lightweight. It is perfect for children 5 and under, and safe enough to leave in a crib with a young baby at nap-time or night. All pages are thick and sturdy with round edges. The story's are short and written in poems so they will not exceed the attention span of a little toddler. I think the rhyming in the story will help the child to remember and memorize each story with ease. This is more of a story book than it is a Bible, as it does not have whole Bible books in it. This book contains the following stories: Creation, Noah, Moses, The Birth of Jesus, The Good Samaritan, Jesus Feeds 5,000, and The Resurrection. I highly recommend giving this book to any small child. It's cuddly, has beautiful illustrations, introduces the Love and Glory of the King of Kings, and I believe it will establish a love for God's Word in any small child. (Posted on 2/5/15)
