The Beauty of believing is a book of 365 devotions for every single day of the year. There are tons of topics discussed and it’s a great way to help your girls discover more about what the Word says on different issues that are relevant to them. It will help them grow their faith and transform their minds. A great recommendation for the 9-12 year old girl in your life.

This a great devotion that can be used year long and it will ensure that your child gets into the Word every day of the year. We've used other FaithGirlz books in our home and love every single one. This one is no different.

I received a free copy in exchange for my honest review. (Posted on 11/21/14)

Setting a foundation of faith in childhood is so important but building on that foundation into the tween years is even more so. The Beauty of Believing is a great resource for young tweens ages 8 - 12. My almost ten year old niece Felicity is a little book worm just like her auntie and I thought this would be the perfect book for her.

The book is really cute and geared to attract young girls. The fun pink and purple on the color with flowers carries over into the book with matching flowers and fun fonts on the pages great for the young ones.

Each page starts with a verse and then a short devotional. I think the length is perfect for the attention span of tweens but then also gives them the option of going deeper with "More to Explore" that has additional verses. I also really like the "Girl Talk" and "God Talk" that really bring it home and make it so relatable for them.

There are 365 devotionals broken down one day at a time and further divided into sections.

Felicity really enjoyed the book, the format, the topics and all of the content. She liked the length and the way it was written keeping it simple yet thought provoking.

The Beauty of Believing is great for the young tween in your life to explore and deepen her faith. (Posted on 11/12/14)

This year devotion is sure to spark an interest with your daughter. I enjoy the short yet effective and thought provoking devotionals. Each devo starts with a a short intro on what the topic of the day, a memory verse, the devotional and the a more to explore and girl talk that will have girls thinking about a wide variety of questions. The last section God Talk is all about prayer. I enjoy the simple format that includes a great practice to get them in the habit of a daily devotional.

Thanks Zondervan for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not paid for this review and all opinions are 100% mine. I was very blessed to receive this book and was able to pass it on to a youth girl from my church! :)

“The Beauty of Believing” was sent to me by Zonderkids, a division of Zondervan Publishing, free of charge, in exchange for my honest review.
“The Beauty of Believing” is a FAITHGIRLZ daily devotional book contributed to by Tasha Douglas, Mona Hodgson, Kristi Holl, Lois Walfrid Johnson, Allia Zobil Nolan, and Nancy Rue. It has 365 devotions divided into six sections…GROWING SEEDS OF FAITH, GOD’S PROMISES, FINDING STRENGTH IN HARD TIMES, GOD SPEAKS TO US, A HELPING BODY OF BELIEVERS, and THE BEAUTY OF BELIEVING. Each section begins with a short synopsis concerning what the following devotions will be about. The daily devotions begin with a memory verse and then have a short devotion. After, is MORE TO EXPLORE, GIRL TALK (a couple questions to think about) and GOD TALK (a short prayer).
This is a very sweet devotional for TWEENS and TEEN girls and I’d highly recommend it.

My Review:

Having worked with Nancy Rue recently, I truly treasure this devotional for girls. She along with other contributors were able to pull of this devotional in a way to inspire young girls to believe in themselves and live like God has called them to live. She as well as these contributors are a gift! In the devotional there are 365 entries---enough for every day of the year. Each entry has a scripture verse, encouraging wisdom, several more verses to help identify with the content, questions or thoughts to ponder, and an awesome prayer to God to confirm what was learned.

My favorite entry is #127 on loneliness, it speaks of a mom guiding her daughter to look above first to realize she isn't alone and second that God is ALWAYS right there. It also encourages us to take God's word and make it more personal by using it to refer to ourselves and speak it out whenever needed. Encouraging girls from all walks of life to let God's light shine through them is a great way for my daughter to be reminded of God and His love for her. This book was written for girls ages 8-12 years of age, retails for $9.35, and is available at this link.
