Mac Bible

Note: We’re sorry, but live support is no longer available for this product. Because it was developed for platforms that are no longer the standard, we can only provide answers to the most frequently asked questions. For current Mac software, please contact Oak Tree at 877-339-5855 or www.oaksoft.com.

Q. How can I tell if my computer meets the system requirements listed on this software?

A. There are several things you can tell by going to the Apple menu and selecting About this Computer. On the resulting screen, you will see the OS that you are running as well as how much memory you have installed. Other information is also available.

Q. Why do I get a preferences error when opening the program?

A. Open the Mac Bible Preferences folder on the hard drive. Move the contents of this folder to the Systems folder, not the Preferences folder.

Q. When I print Greek, why won’t it print fonts with upper and lower accents?

A. While in the program, open Print Options. Turn the on/off feature to the opposite of its current state.

Q. The program requires that I place the MacBible Preferences folder in the System Preferences Folder. However, when I do that, the program continues to ask for me to place it in the System Folder. It won’t let me get into the program without doing it. Is there a solution?

A. The MacBible Preferences folder has to go in the Systems folder. Not in the Preferences folder inside the Systems folder—it has to be loose in the systems folder. If you adjust this it should work fine.

Q. How do I put Hebrew text in a word processing document?

A. You need to create the text in our program and then put it in your word processor.

  1. While in the Hebrew text, create a user note with all the information you want in your word processing document.
  2. Save the note as a text file on your desktop.
  3. Close out of MacBible and open your word processor.
  4. Open the note file on your desktop in the word processor and change the font to Jerusalem.

Q. From MacBible, I save a text file, then I drop and drag (or try to open) that text file in my word processor (MSWord). Instead of opening the text file I just get an untitled window. I am using MacLink and can see it start up when I drag and drop. What’s wrong??

A. In the MSWord folder there is a folder called Word Commands. In that folder look for these two files and remove either or both of them: Word Perfect PC 42.ml or Multimate.ml.  This should solve the problem.
