Compare Bible Translations
“Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.” Genesis 2:1 New International Version (NIV)
“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.” Genesis 2:1 King James Version (KJV)
“So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed.” Genesis 2:1 New Living Translation (NLT)
Although you may need to attend seminary to determine the difference between a vast array, the host of them, and everything in them, all you need to discover differences in Bible translations is software powered by PRADIS.*
Here’s how to compare translations:
1. Highlight a pane in your PRADIS window.
2. Choose Open Book from the Book menu or click the Open Book icon in the toolbar.
3. The Open Book dialog box will appear and list the books you have in your library.
4. Select from this list the Bible translations you want to compare. (Note: You’ll have to repeat steps 2-4 for each translation you want to include in your comparison.)
5. Each Bible translation you selected appears in the pane you highlighted. Click the Tabbed/Tiled icon in the upper right corner of the pane to shift the pane to Tiled view. The Tiled view displays all of the translations you selected side by side.
