Amplified Bible Guidelines

Fair Use

Please note these guidelines apply to both commercial and non-commercial use.

Text from the Amplified Bible may be quoted in any form (written, visual, electronic or audio), up to and inclusive of 500 verses or less without written permission, providing the verses quoted do not amount to a complete book of the Bible, nor do verses quoted account for 25% or more of the total text of the work in which they are quoted, and the verses are not being quoted in a commentary or other biblical reference work. This permission is contingent upon an appropriate copyright acknowledgment.

All Amplified Bible quotations must be completely accurate to the Amplified Bible text, including all appropriate punctuation, capitalization, etc. unless specifically approved to the contrary prior to publication.

Anyone who wishes to use the translation in its entirety must submit a request in writing with a self-addressed stamped envelope to receive our application through the mail, or submit a request electronically by using our permission request form.

If your intent is to have your book/work published by a publisher, you must have secured a publisher before we are able to grant you permission. We will need to know specific information about your publication plans, such as the name of your publisher, the print run, and the selling price, before we can proceed with your request. Zondervan is not able to grant you permission to submit your manuscript to publishers.

If you are intending to self-publish your book/work, please indicate this information in the ‘publisher’ field.
