Responsibilities
1. Planning
• Build strategic selling strategy for Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Costco and supporting distribution network.
2. Selling
• Sell Zondervan and Vida products to Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Costco and their supporting distribution network.
3. Consulting
• Work with all publishing teams on a regular basis to help craft products appropriate for a multi-channel publishing strategy.
• Provide specific consultation on appropriate formatting, pricing strategies, and cover design to receive maximize sell-in and sell-through impact for a multi-channel publishing effort.
• Provide specific consumer trend input with a focus on the wants and needs of the “core consumer” target.
Knowledge/Experience
• Knowledge of decision making process, operational and product needs for mass market accounts
• Previous sales experience
• Experience in territory management
• Knowledge of Zondervan accounts
Knowledge of competition’s actions
Skills
• Previous publishing background
• Good math aptitude
• Good organizational skills
• Able to meet deadlines
• Ability to plan ahead and set goals
• Previous training in selling skills
