Responsibilities
• Maintaining graphic design, structure, and content management for both internal and external Web sites
• Creating design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation, and web site layout
• Designing applications to enhance web site user experience; assisting in content development and management of web sites
• Authoring complex web sites, design frameworks, and templates
• Involved with user interface design
• Determining size and arrangement of material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles, and aesthetic design concepts
• Working with a team staff and Internet marketers to create a captivating experience that engages users on an emotional level
• Participating in design presentation meetings
• Developing HTML site structure and working with multiple teams to ensure successful implementation of design and overall usability requirements
• Creating prototype designs based on user interface standards, usability guidelines, design guidelines
• Supporting and maintaining visual site elements of the multiple web sites.
 
Knowledge/Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Design (or related area)
• At least 3 years demonstrated experience in Web Design
• Familiar with current web-design trends and techniques
• Strong online portfolio displaying user-centered design
• Familiar with cross-browser, cross-platform UI design
• Understanding of Web technologies
 
Skills
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and Dreamweaver (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of HTML standards and CSS
• Experience in Web usability, design and development, and content management
• Experience using SQL as a data description helpful 
• Experience with Macromedia Flash and content management systems helpful
• Experience with QA testing and .NET helpful 
• An eye for detail and color
