Position:    Director of Operations and Business Management     Position Range:    $42k-$67k
Church Engagement Hiring Range:    $42k-$55k

Responsibilities

·         In conjunction with the Zondervan finance department, prepare and manage the Church Engagement annual revenue and expense budgets, including the Curriculum Product Category, the Direct-to-Church and Ministry Sales channels.

·         Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, forecasts, and pertinent sales and expense reporting.

·         Accountable for managing the publishing process for the Church Engagement Curriculum Team, including: leading the weekly Acquisitions meeting, preparing product IPA’s, ensuring project setups, and managing the production schedule  to ensure  all titles release on time and meeting quality standards.

·         Create financial models for new business initiatives as needed. Prepare analysis reporting as required for new initiatives.

·         Oversee the direct-to-church channel order processing, customer service and order fulfillment processes to ensure quality standards and expense controls.

·         Prepare promotional and analysis templates for Church Engagement marketing and sales promotions.

·         Prepare Event budgets and analysis templates. Assist Director of Events in creating Zondervan-sponsored Event revenue and expense budgets.

·         In conjunction with the Zondervan finance department, prepare annual revenue and expense budgets for The City. Prepare monthly financial reports and periodic reforecast as required.

·         Responsible for Inventory projections.

·         Responsible for FTC compliance.


 
Knowledge/Experience

·         BA or BS in Sales, Accounting, or Business Management              

·         Three to five years of experience in the financial field                  

·         Knowledge and understanding of Christian industry                                 

·         General knowledge of publishing                                                  

·         Strong financial accounting skills

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills                        

·         Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint                 

·         Able to handle multiple clients
