Full Biography

As Executive Vice President of Publishing and Editorial Operations, Stan is responsible for contracts, royalties, and copyrights; international rights and permissions; author care; and editorial and marketing operations. Before coming to Zondervan, Stan graduated from seminary, served as a pastor; earned a doctoral degree in historical theology; taught Bible, theology, and church history at Moody Bible Institute and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School; and had ten years of free-lance experience as a theological editor. Stan has also been an influential figure in the Evangelical Theological Society, serving as president of ETS and on its executive committee. He is a published author himself with seven different books to his credit and many articles published in other books and in popular and academic periodicals.

It was natural then that Zondervan would tap Stan to build its publishing program of academic and reference books as well as ministry resources for pastors and the church. For nearly twenty-five years Stan led that program, building it to up to one of the strongest in Christian publishing. In recent years, he has focused his attention on publishing operations, contract negotiations, and working more closely with select authors. Stan brings to Zondervan the multiple perspectives of an author, pastor, professor, editor, publisher, and theologian.
