Full Biography
Dudley J. Delffs serves as Senior Vice President and Publisher of Trade Books at Zondervan. He oversees the editorial and marketing teams for Trade and is responsible for acquisitions, product development, marketing strategy, and sales coordination of the products in the Trade group. Previously he served as VP/ Editor-in-Chief at WaterBrook Multnomah, a division of Random House.
Before entering publishing full time, Dudley was a college professor and author, teaching creative writing and literature at Colorado Christian University and the University of Denver. He has published several novels, including The Martyr’s Chapel, which was selected as the Colorado Book of the Year for 1998, as well non-fiction titles on prayer and spiritual renewal.
An alumnus of the University of Tennessee, Dudley holds graduate degrees in English and counseling and earned the Ph.D. in creative writing from the University of Denver. He completed an Ironman triathlon in 2004 and raced to the top of Pikes Peak (an 8,000 foot vertical elevation gain) in 2007. He and his wife have three children and a dog named Opie Taylor.
